Infant Jesus Central School held its Investiture Ceremony and Club Inauguration with enthusiasm and dignity, formally installing the newly elected student leaders and inaugurating the school's various clubs for the year. FIFA World Cup Jersey Day 2026

In the spirit of the FIFA World Cup, Infant Jesus Central School, Thuvayoor, celebrated Jersey Day with great excitement. The morning assembly was conducted on the school ground, with every student turning up in the jersey of their favourite football team, turning the ground into a colourful sea of team colours. International Day against Drug abuse

Our school observed International Drug Abuse Day with a special assembly held in the school auditorium. Students delivered anti-drug messages and performed dances to raise awareness about the dangers of substance abuse, and both students and teachers took the anti-drug pledge, reaffirming their commitment to a drug-free life. A second session was guided by a team from the Fire Force Department, who shared that the majority of cases they deal with are caused by individuals under the influence of different types of drugs and alcohol, driving home the real-world consequences of substance abuse. School Parliament Election

The School Parliament Election was conducted in a fair, systematic, and democratic manner. Interested students submitted nominations in advance, and the final candidate list was announced ahead of polling day.

On election day, students queued in order, had their ID cards verified, and received printed ballot papers — a new feature introduced this year for greater transparency. Two student police officers assisted with discipline during polling, and each voter's left index finger was marked with indelible ink to prevent multiple voting. General PTA 2026

Infant Jesus Central School, Thuvayoor, conducted its General PTA on 27th June 2026. Class-wise gatherings were held first, during which parent representatives were elected from each class. This was followed by the General PTA in the school auditorium, where the PTA Executive Committee was elected. Mr. Anu Baby was elected President, Mrs. Sofia S. was elected Vice President, and Mrs. Sreeja B.S. continues as Staff Secretary. Yoga and Music Day

Infant Jesus Central School celebrated International Yoga Day and World Music Day together through a special morning assembly featuring a prayer, pledge, song, thought for the day, and news readings. A speech highlighted the importance of yoga for physical and mental wellbeing and music as a universal language.

Infant Jesus Central School, Thuvayoor, celebrated Reading Week and Reading Day with enthusiasm. On 17th June, students took part in a Book Reading Session, Quiz Competition, and Newspaper Reading Session. On 18th June, activities included a Colouring Competition, Drawing Competition, Book Review Writing Competition, and Reading Day Logo Design Competition.

School Blessing Ceremony

Infant Jesus Central School, Thuvayoor, held a School Blessing ceremony on 9th June 2026, marking a spiritual and joyous beginning to the academic year. The blessing was administered by Rev. Fr. Mathew Valiyaparambil and Rev. Dr. Samuel Paickattethu, who led the school community through the sacred rite. Students and teachers joined together in singing hymns of blessing, filling the campus with a spirit of devotion and gratitude. All the classrooms, the office, and the entire school premises were blessed, invoking divine grace and protection over the school for the year ahead.

World Environment Day Celebration

The school marked World Environment Day with a programme in the auditorium for students, teachers, and staff. The morning assembly, led by Class X, included a prayer, pledge, thought for the day, and a speech on sustainable living. Chief guest Mr. C.K. Mani, an award-winning organic farmer from Kadampanad, shared his farming journey and encouraged eco-friendly habits.

Infant Jesus Central School, Thuvayoor, held its School Induction Ceremony 2026 to formally welcome new students into the school community. Chief guest Rev. Fr. Joshua Kochuvilayil gave a beautiful speech, motivating both teachers and students with his inspiring words. Newly admitted students were welcomed with warm smiles and gifts, making them feel embraced as part of the Infant Jesus family from their very first day.

52nd Annual Day Celebration – Lumen 2025

Infant Jesus Central School, Thuvayoor celebrated its 52nd Annual Day, “Lumen 2025,” on 18 December 2025 with great enthusiasm and participation. The event began with a Cultural Programme at 1.30 pm, showcasing the vibrant talents of the students through a variety of performances.

The Public Meeting commenced at 3.00 pm with an invocation by the School Choir. Fr. Dr. Samuel Paickattethu, Bursar, delivered the welcome address, warmly greeting the dignitaries and guests. The Annual Report of the school was presented by Rev. Sr. Sheeja SCV, Principal, highlighting the academic achievements and activities of the past year.
