Flowers Day 2026 Celebrated with Joy and Enthusiasm at Infant Jesus Central School

The Flowers Day celebration was conducted with great enthusiasm and joy by the students of Class II at Infant Jesus Central School, Thuvayoor, on 14 August 2026. The programme aimed to help children appreciate the beauty of flowers, nurture their creativity and confidence, and encourage active participation in co-curricular activities.

The programme began with a warm welcome and introduction by Vinaya Miss, followed by a beautiful Flowers Day speech delivered by Evan Thomas Benson of II A. The students were then blessed with inspiring messages from Rev. Fr. Dr. Samuel Paickattethu, School Bursar, and Sr. Sheeja SCV, School Principal. Their valuable words encouraged the children to appreciate nature, spread happiness, and grow into responsible and caring individuals.

The students enthusiastically participated in the Rhyme Competition, showcasing their confidence and recitation skills. This was followed by a colourful Dress-Up Competition, where the children came dressed in attractive flower-themed costumes. Nakshathra M. Dileep of II B also delivered a thoughtful speech as part of the celebration.

Reena Miss, Vice Principal, felicitated the programme and appreciated the sincere efforts of the students and teachers in making the celebration a success. The festivities continued with an energetic Action Song and a delightful Flower Dance, adding colour and excitement to the occasion.

Aswathy Miss proposed the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the School Bursar, Principal, Vice Principal, teachers, students, and everyone who contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.

The celebration concluded with enjoyable games and activities for the students. The children participated actively and enthusiastically throughout the event.

Overall, Flowers Day was a colourful, meaningful, and memorable experience, creating a joyful atmosphere among the students and reminding everyone that, just like flowers, each child has a unique beauty and quality to share with the world.
