Merit Day 2026

Infant Jesus Central School, Thuvayoor celebrated Merit Day 2026, honouring the academic achievements and accomplishments of the students of Class X (2025–2026).

The programme brought together students, teachers, parents and distinguished guests in a celebration of academic excellence, perseverance and achievement. The event commenced with a prayer led by the School Choir, followed by the pledge and thought for the day.

The Welcome Speech was delivered by Mrs. Reena Daniel, Vice Principal, followed by the Presidential Address by Rev. Fr. Dr. Samuel Paickattethu, Bursar.

The programme was formally inaugurated by Dr. Lynnette Joseph, Head of the Department of Physics, Bishop Moore College, Mavelikara, who also delivered the inaugural address. In her address, she encouraged the students to pursue excellence with dedication, discipline and confidence, reminding them that true success is built through consistent effort and perseverance.

Sr. Sheeja SCV, Principal, delivered the message, highlighting the importance of education in shaping responsible, confident and compassionate individuals.

The programme also featured sharing of memories by Akshara Bimal and Adwaith SR, along with a special song by Binsa M Binu. Mr. Anu Kokkattu, PTA President, offered felicitations on the occasion.

The highlight of the celebration was the honouring of the Class X students of the academic year 2025–2026, recognising their hard work, dedication and achievements. The occasion was a fitting tribute to their journey and a source of inspiration for the younger students of the school.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Mrs. Sreeja B.S., Staff Secretary, followed by the School Anthem led by the School Choir.

Merit Day 2026 was a memorable celebration of achievement, gratitude and aspiration, inspiring every Infantaine to continue striving for excellence and to let their light shine.
