Debate and Just a Minute – November

The Debate and Just a Minute activities will provide students with opportunities to express their ideas clearly and confidently. Debate encourages students to research topics, listen to different viewpoints, construct arguments, and communicate respectfully. Just a Minute develops spontaneity, vocabulary, quick thinking, and public-speaking skills. Together, these activities help students become confident communicators who can participate meaningfully in academic, professional, and social life.

 

School Bulletin – January

The School Bulletin will provide students with an opportunity to document and present important school activities, achievements, events, and creative contributions. Students can participate in writing, editing, reporting, and designing the bulletin. This activity develops communication, teamwork, observation, and organisational skills while giving students a sense of ownership of their school community. It can also serve as a record of the school’s journey and achievements for future generations.

 

Literary Quiz, Extempore and Book Review – February

This programme brings together different activities that encourage students to explore literature and develop their language skills. The literary quiz will test students' knowledge and encourage wider reading, while extempore activities will develop confidence and spontaneous expression. Book reviews will encourage students to read thoughtfully, reflect on what they read, and communicate their ideas. Together, these activities aim to cultivate lifelong readers, effective communicators, and independent thinkers.
